As
part of the elected council for the Taybeh Municipality
on May 5th 2005, we are committed to
keep Taybeh as one of the most beautiful villages
in our homeland since it is one of the most ancient
places in Palestine.
The roots of Taybeh date
back 5,000 years before Christ as Biblical Ephraim making it one
of the oldest places in Palestine. The village has survived
many wars and occupations keeping its unique identity for two
thousand years and taking on the modern name Taybeh after
Saladin’s historic visit to Taybeh calling the people “Taybeen”
for their generosity and hospitality.
